Nina Kemp (dip. Landscape design - TAFE SA) is the founder and lead landscaper at 'Softedge Landscapes'. Nina has over 10 years' experience in the plant industry, working in both a production nursery and managing a local garden centre. This experience has equipped her with an excellent knowledge of plants and a deep understanding of their suitability to various environmental conditions. Her designs are characterised by flowing aesthetic plant arrangements that are skilfully matched to thrive in their given environment.
Nina is very approachable with a friendly personality, and she is a good listener. She enjoys the challenge of understanding the unique needs of every client to ensure the outdoor space will be both beautiful and functional. She approaches every design as a 'one of a kind' as each site has its unique challenges, and every client will have individual visions and functional requirements.
Nina takes enormous pride in her work and offers on-going support to ensure her clients' gardens continue to gracefully mature and retain their bespoke beauty for the years ahead. Her extensive plant knowledge is utilised when compiling our individualised maintenance, pruning & fertiliser schedules.
Drawing inspiration from nature, the core design philosophy at Softedge Landscapes is centred around sustainability and a genuine care for the local ecosystem. Rest assured, a bespoke garden design from Softedge Landscapes will sit comfortably within the local landscape. Our aim is to provide our clients with aesthetic and functional outdoor spaces without compromising on good sustainable design principles. During the design process, Nina will guide the client though eco-friendly options, for instance: Selecting local materials, reducing water consumption, reducing waste, appropriate plant selection (reducing or eliminating reliance on pesticides). In keeping with our ecological design principles, we attempt to retain any overlooked existing elements of natural beauty within your space wherever possible.
